When I first met Chasee and Nina, I was immediately connected. You could instantly tell these two were lovers. We talked over our initial meeting for over an hour, and it could have easily lasted all day. When it came time to discuss locations for their engagement session, the Julia Ideson Library was decided to be the perfect fit.
The two were inspired by a poem by one of their favorite authors titled “There Will Be Stars.” So much so, Chasee and Nina had the words tattoo’d to serve as a permanent reminder. The library was a nod to their story.
“There Will Be Stars
There will be stars over the place forever;
Though the house we loved and the street we loved are lost,
Every time the earth circles her orbit
On the night the autumn equinox is crossed,
Two stars we knew, poised on the peak of midnight
Will reach their zenith; stillness will be deep;
There will be stars over the place forever,
There will be stars forever, while we sleep.”
– Sara Teasdale, Dark of the Moon
Chasee and Nina started as friends, but it was a weekend at Austin City Limits when the two naturally fell in love. After a weekend getaway to a quiet cabin, Nina surprised Chasee with a video presenting all of their favorite memories sealed with a proposal.
Chasee and Nina had a vision to utilize their home to further personalize their engagement session, and it was perfect. Their green velvet couch flawlessly contrasted with Chasee’s red heels. Their red floral rug, shelves stacked with books and draped with plants added to the maximalist, swanky, hotel lobby aesthetic they were going for. They read to each other, played their piano, and concluded their evening with a pizza dinner.
